David Fitzgerald, Author 

David Fitzgerald is an atheist activist, writer, historical researcher, and lectures internationally at Universities and secular events. He was co-founder/director of the world’s first Atheist Film Festival and San Francisco's oldest annual Darwin Day celebration, "Evolutionpalooza!” and today works for the Secular Student Alliance. 
He is the author of NAILED: Ten Christian Myths That Show Jesus Never Existed At All and The Complete Heretic’s Guide to Western Religion series. 
His book NAILED critically examines the historical evidence for Christ, and he is currently working on the follow-up book, Jesus: Mything in Action, which tackles secular arguments for the Historic Jesus

 

Maryam Namazie, political activist, campaigner and blogger

Maryam Namazie is Spokesperson for Fitnah, One Law for All and Council of Ex-Muslims of Britain; editor of Fitnah's Unveiled; Central Committee member of the Worker-communist Party of Iran; and National Secular Society Honorary Associate. She was awarded Journalist of the Year Dods Women in Public Life Awards and was NSS's 2005 Secularist of the Year Award winner. She is the producer and co-host of Bread and Roses TV.

 

Andrew Copson, Chief Executive British Humanist Association

Andrew Copson is Chief Executive of the British Humanist Association, a role to which he was appointed in January 2010 after five years coordinating the BHA’s education and public affairs work. He is a former director of the European Humanist Federation and is a Vice President of the International Humanist and Ethical Union. His writing on humanist and secularist issues has appeared in The Guardian, The Independent, The Times and New Statesman and he has represented the BHA and Humanism extensively on television news as well as on television programmes such as Newsnight, The Daily Politics and The Big Questions.

 

Lola Tinubu & Clive Aruede, London Black Atheists

Clive Aruede is the founder of the London Black Atheists. Lola Tinubu is a co-organiser of the London Black Atheists (LBA). The LBA is a support group for those leaving religion or considering leaving religion.

 

Alice Fuller, Young Humanists Coordinator

Alice Fuller is coordinator of Young Humanists, a new section of the British Humanist Association (BHA) devoted to 18-35 year olds (www.younghumanists.org.uk). Alice has worked in the area of end of life care and disability campaigning for the past five years and is a trustee of the mental health charity Mind in Haringey. She lives in Walthamstow, east London. 

 

Alastair Lichten, National Secular Society

Alastair Lichten is a campaigns officer at the National Secular Society – which believes secularism offers the best hope for a society in which all citizens, regardless of religious belief, or lack of religious belief, can live together fairly and cohesively The NSS campaigns for a secular democracy with a separation of religion and state, where everyone's Human Rights are respected equally.
Alastair first became interested in narratives around the politics of secularism and belief while studying political communications. He is interested in the framing of secular issues in political and social discourse and the parallels between religious and gender privilege.
